Christmas Eve

Last night we had a great time with some our friends, Ben & Nicole as we were christening their new home and bringing in cheer for the holiday season. Sydney was so wound up that she could hardly sit still for anything. We all went caroling which brings back me to my childhood Christmas at my dear Aunt Kathy & Uncle Bob's in Acton, MASS when we would go through their neighborhood as we shared our lovely voices with all the neighbors. Then their neighbors would reciprocate the gesture which was so exciting as a kid. Then we would get our "stair" present just before bedtime. My favorite were the clock pj's that we wore. Christmas was such a magical time as a child and I hope that Sydney and Oliver will enjoy theirs as much as I did mine. (Thanks you Mom & Dad for all of your hard work).
Oh and last but not least we had a new addition to our Christmas traditions. His name is Candy Cane, he flies to the North Pole every night to report Sydney and Oliver's behavior for the day and upon his return he lands in a new place. There is only one RULE you are not allowed to touch him; however, Sydney did just that. SO, Daddy had to call Santa and ask him if he could give Candy Cane his magical powers back just this once and he graciously said "yes!" As Jimmy was telling Sydney the story she asked if Santa answered the phone...once he was able to get past this she seemed to believe that Candy Cane was magical again.
It has be a fabulous holiday season for us and we are looking forward to many more years with Sydney and Oliver.
